We aim for the Checkdubaicard desk to be usable by anyone, regardless of input device, vision or language preference. This page lists the practical commitments we make.
All interactive elements — links, buttons, form controls, the cookie banner and the language toggle — are reachable with the Tab key. Focus styles are visible and use the brand red for clarity.
Body text uses near-black on white at well above the 4.5:1 ratio recommended by WCAG 2.1 AA. The brand red is used for accents and small interactive elements rather than as the main body colour.
Switching the language to Arabic flips the document direction to right-to-left, swaps fonts to Cairo for Arabic text, and re-positions select arrows and prefix tags accordingly. Bilingual labels appear inline near most headings so screen readers announce both names where needed.
Form fields use explicit labels associated with the input, not placeholders. Required fields are marked both visually (a red star) and with the required attribute where practical. Live regions are used for the cookie banner and the redirect overlay.
If you encounter a barrier, please email support@checkdubaicard.org with a short description and, if possible, the page URL and the assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility reports as priority.
