How a nolcard topup is processed

The process below is a thorough walk-through of what happens between the moment you open the recharge form and the moment your Nol balance is updated. Use it as a reference if a transaction looks stuck or if you simply want to know what the desk does on your behalf.

Step 1 · You fill out the form on this site

The recharge form lives on checkdubaicard.org/recharge.html. It asks for four things: your +971 mobile number (so we can SMS you the order reference), your Nol card type (Silver, Gold, Personal or Red Ticket), the 16-digit card serial printed on the back of the card, and the AED amount you wish to load. The amount picker offers the typical preset values (25, 50, 100, 200, 500) and a custom field that accepts anything between AED 5 and AED 1,000.

Validation runs on every keystroke — the mobile must be 9 digits, the serial 16 digits, the amount within the supported range. The "Continue to payment" button stays disabled until each field is correct, which prevents most mistakes before the redirect.

Step 2 · The order is forwarded to the secure card desk

Once you click "Continue", a short overlay appears and you're taken to checkout.checkdubaicard.org. This is a separate domain reserved for card processing; the main site never sees the card number, expiry or security code. The checkout page reads your order details from the URL parameters and shows them as a summary at the top — amount, Nol type, serial, mobile and order reference — so you can double-check everything before paying.

The card form is short on purpose: card number with the 16-digit mask, MM/YY expiry, three-digit CVV and the cardholder name. We accept Visa and Mastercard, debit and credit. 3-D Secure is enforced by the gateway when your bank requires it, which is most of the time for UAE-issued cards.

Step 3 · Confirmation and balance update

A successful charge takes you to the confirmation page with a printable receipt: order reference, amount, masked card last four digits and timestamp. The order reference begins with CDC- followed by eight digits — please keep it for any future support request. The same reference is sent to your +971 mobile by SMS within a minute.

Your Nol balance is updated by the upstream system within 2-5 minutes in the typical case. If the network is congested it may take up to one hour; in that case the new value will appear on your next tap-in or tap-out, no manual sync needed.
